For more than three decades Alan Patterson has worked as an international consultant in leadership and organizational development. Leader Evolution is his first book, based on his experience with organizations that routinely promote their technical experts into leadership positions with little or no preparation. In 2006 he formed his current practice, Mentore. He has been a featured speaker, workshop leader, executive coach, university lecturer, and expert resource to several professional development organizations. Today he lives in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.
