this rating is for the app. we love our yoto devices, this app is garbage. It is so slow to register any command and the buttons do not always respond to touch. this combination of issues means I have to press a button and wait a few seconds to find out if the app registered my command. In the podcasts tab I am constantly having trouble getting specific episodes to play. sometimes it's fine, sometimes it insists on playing a random episode, normally the one hiding behind the tool bar. i digress

Unfortunately app is unusable, new WiFi credentials. The phone connects to the gen 2 yoto player via it's hotspot but once connected, during the yoto players WiFi scan, it doesn't display any SSIDs in the app. Either the Player is self is no longer able to perform the WiFi scan (bad firmware update?) or the Android apps connection flow has been broken in an update, let's hope it's the latter I'll try on iOS!

Sorry to hear that! The scan not returning networks could be a player fault, could be no compatible networks nearby or the phone is dropping the hotspot. You can reset the player to return to its original fw to reconnect (there are no known issues in both the app or the player) or you can contact us

It's a super frustrating app. I'm not sure where they drempt up the UX conventions, but file navigation and directory content editing has been well understood for so long that creating something novel is unnecessary and pointless. There is little intuitive here, and it really feels like they've done their best to be unique. Big software companies spend millions of dollars a year ensuring their UIs are easy to use, Yoto did not.
Sorry to hear that Reaper! We test everything extensively with real customers before we start making any changes. Sorry to hear that our UX is falling short for you.
