shapez is a relaxed game in which you have to build factories for the automated production of geometric shapes. As the level increases, the shapes become more and more complex, and you have to spread out on the infinite map.
And as if that wasn't enough, you also have to produce exponentially more to satisfy the demands - the only thing that helps is scaling! While you only have to process shapes at the beginning, you will later have to color them - by extracting and mixing colors!

If I had rated this within the first few days of playing, I would have given this 5 stars. However, there's an ongoing problem where my factories stop working for no apparent reason. If I delete and readd the pieces, it will work for a few minutes, then stop again. This issue kept becoming more and more frequent until the frustration got to be too much. I may come back in a month or two to see if it got fixed, because otherwise it's a great game, but it's not terriblly playable as is.

As a rule, I really hate mobile games. And ports of desktop PC games are never as good as the desktop experience. Shapez, however, appears to be the exception. Keeping the graphics and the interface simple and unobtrusive, they've managed to piece together an automation game that not only looks and plays superbly well on a mobile device, but that maybe even plays at its best on these devices. If you love Factorio, Dyson Sphere Program, or Satisfactory then this is the perfect mobile fix.

My original review complained about lag that was happening once I got far enough in the game. I then found out that closing and reopening the game would remove the lag for a while. I had just finished making a large factory that was built to copy to other places, but the game was getting particularly laggy. I closed and reopened the game and found that NONE of my progress from that session was saved. I get back in the save and that factory was just gone. The game was fun before that though.
