• Jump to avoid obstacles and enemies while collecting as many golden rings as possible. Timing is everything. If you get hit by an enemy and lose all your rings, you die!

It works very well on my phone, it is a good port. However, the controls are not as good compared to the Sonic 1, 2 and CD mobile ports, especially the analog stick. The original ports had a d-pad analog stick combination that worked very well when doing precision control such as in special stages. In this game I struggle in the ball special stages with the analog stick, I struggle to turn quickly when it gets faster. Besides that, it is pretty good, just use a controller!

A pretty great port of Sonic Mania, but it's not perfect. First of all, you have to have a Netflix account to play the game. Second, the menu is not that great. The original menu has touch inputs, so I have no idea why they changed it. Third, The level select was also changed for some reason. And last but certainly not least, I don't think the company that made this port had any idea what they were doing. I've seen the coding for this game and most of the code is "idk what this does.".

I like how this game has taken sonic levels and improved upon them. Too bad the controls are garbage. Virtual thumbsticks in locked positions on the corner of the phone is awkward at the best of times but in an environment that requires fast, accurate, platforming it ruined the experience and I had to uninstall.
