Humayun Ahmed is a Bangladeshi novelist, short story writer, playwright and lyricist, screenwriter and filmmaker. Humayun Ahmed was born on 13 November 1948 in Netrakona. Died on July 19, 2012. He is one of the popular Bengali fiction writers of the 20th century. He is regarded as one of the best writers of post-independence Bangladesh. In Bengali fiction, Humayun Ahmed is the father of a new style of dialogism. On the other hand, he is the pioneer of modern Bengali science fiction. Humayun Ahmed is also respected as a drama and film director. The number of his published books is more than three hundred.
