As others have said, the dice rolls are unfair and unrealistic. If the game deems you've made errors, it's like the game punishes you, and your opponent gets doubles 5x in a row. I've been playing 40+ years with real dice. In that time, I've only once seen doubles rolled four times in a row. In forty minutes in this game, it happened in 5 back to back games against all different opponents. Takes the fun right out of it.

The appearance and functionality of this app is superior to anything else I've tried online. The dice algorithm also seems the most legit I've come across. The Star membership is a good value for a month to collect your blunder database and have access to the accompanying strategy book, but long term the four ply analysis isn't really worth it unless your are all in on trying to be a master caliber player in real life.

Excellent backgammon app. Plenty of bad reviews saying the dice are fixed etc but Marc has explained countless times how that would be impossible as the RNG is currently set up. I mean, if you really do believe they they are crooked and tracking YOU, then play somewhere else. Customer support I agree seems to be non-existent and it's a shame (but perfectly sensible commercially) that they put the analysis behind a subscription paywall but there's still no better backgammon app out there.
