The game is still fun after many years, but progress is incredibly slow at one point. There isn't much to do besides trying to do the same stage over and over again or event maps, in that case. Also, it's been a while since there have been new pokemon added to the game. I really wonder when that will happen. I am also curious about new abilities. The weekly map rotations are great, by the way.

First of all: very fun game, it's addictive and the combo's feels solid, but damn, the progression is awful. The levels doesn't take that long and only having 5 hearts doesnt help either. After playing for 5-10 min. you'll need to wait 2.5 hours to play again. Once you get to the harder levels the catch rate is laughable. For ex: I've finally beaten an hard level and it took me 4 tries, catch rate: 10%.. It feels more like a punishment then a reward for beating a hard level.

Pretty fantastic game. On face value it's just Match 3 in Pokemon shape, but it has a fair amount of depth. Pokemon have (unique) abilities, you need to train them and invest time/resources in them, and overall there's meaningful decision making. Very playable without paying money, albeit a bit grindy in that case. It's a 3DS game ported to mobile, and free to play. It's better than 99% of games, and one of my favorite Pokemon games (including main series!!)
