It's a super frustrating app. I'm not sure where they drempt up the UX conventions, but file navigation and directory content editing has been well understood for so long that creating something novel is unnecessary and pointless. There is little intuitive here, and it really feels like they've done their best to be unique. Big software companies spend millions of dollars a year ensuring their UIs are easy to use, Yoto did not.
Sorry to hear that Reaper! We test everything extensively with real customers before we start making any changes. Sorry to hear that our UX is falling short for you.

A great device and app but could use improvements. It would be amazing if we received push notifications when the battery goes low. Also the design of the in-app volume control is confusing and looks like progress tracker. A progress tracker for songs etc would also be useful so that we can navigate better
Thanks for the feedback Maya. At the top of the maxi player in the app (the full screen that shows what's playing) there's a seekbar to show progress that also lets you advance. For all feature requests please post to our community site at https://yoto.space where you can vote up ideas for consideration.

It is a great app, but it sometimes makes my phone unusable. For some reason, it sometimes starts randomly making my phone vibrate relentlessly, and no matter how many times I close out the app, it opens itself back up and continues to make my phone vibrate. I have to actually manually restart my phone (if I can even get that far, every time it vibrates, it opens the app and closes out what I was doing). Other than this bug, the app is great.
Hi Kayla - the Yoto app is NFC enabled which means it can read the Yoto cards just like the player. If your phone is continuously vibrating make sure you haven't got a card close to your phone. Alternatively you can turn off the NFC feature in your phone settings. If you need any assistance drop an email to
