About this app

Travel confidently around London with maps and live travel updates on our official TfL app. Check live arrival times for Tube, London Overground, DLR and Elizabeth line trains as well as Trams and IFS Cloud Cable Car. Make step-free journeys and look up station facilities. See on the map when stations and lifts are closed. Walking or cycling? Our reliable journey planner will map a safe route.

The app is built around our iconic Tube map. To get started:
• Touch the map or search to plan your journey
• See the status of all lines
• Re-route as you travel - we’ll suggest alternatives
• Switch to the step-free map for accessible journeys
• Find out when your next train, bus or tram is due
• Look up which platform your train will arrive on
• See when the stations you want to travel through are quieter
• Check out station information and facilities like toilets

Our simple and clear layout is designed to make using the app easy for everyone.

Planning your journey: We’ll suggest multiple ways to get to your destination – you pick the one that suits you best. Choose the quickest journey, bus-only or one that’s step-free.

Check before you travel: See how the line is running and when to expect your next Tube, bus, train or tram

Freedom to explore: Choose the right travel options if you or someone you’re travelling with needs to avoid steps, lifts onto a train or in a station.

Bus stops near you: Find the bus stop nearest to where you are, and next bus live arrival information for every route.

Available underground via Wi-Fi (or 4G in some places) for live updates on the go.

I installed this app for the widgets. I commute regularly, and so being able to quickly glance at a specific line status to plan my route is a really nice idea. However, the execution is clunky. Widgets are 3x2 with a tiny bit of text, so I have a lot of wasted screen estate, and I need multiple pages to display all the lines I'm interested in. If this offered 1x1 or small widgets, it'd easily be a 5-star review.

As a tourists, it suggests options that are very complicated. It should suggest simple routes for tourists instead of some weird optimalisation with busses, trains and long walksm Also it should also accompany a journey Instead of suggesting a total other option after a refresh. It made a 1.10 hour a 2 hour journey.

Am I missing something here? The website directs you to download the app to get "Live status map in TfL Go". However the app just has a standard tube map and then a separate section listing all the knackered routes. I want this status on a the map itself not a list as much easier to plan journey this way rather than switching between list and map. The website used to do this really well but greying out all the good lines/stations and colouring all the disrupted ones.

Hi Phil, the map you see in TfL Go is updated live based on the current status of the various lines - closed or suspended lines are shown in grey, and delayed lines are shown with a pulsing 'halo' effect. You can tap on a line to see a quick view of the current status without jumping between the main Status page and the map.

What's new

We’re up to date with the new London Overground lines; Lioness, Mildmay, Windrush, Weaver, Suffragette and Liberty, making the TfL network easier to navigate.
