The most secure option to replace other more well established apps. BUT: The daily backups are VERY large and take FAR too long to upload to a cloud drive. An integrated incremental cloud feature would be nice!! It has happened many times that the app doesn't open and I need to restore it, this way LOSING 1 day's of data!!! This should NEVER happen!! At least there should be a desktop app syncing of messages (or merging backups between mobile and desktop app!!) š¤·

I'm enjoying the app thus far. It's intuitively designed and very easy to learn. I really love the ability to customize all the chat backgrounds and bubble colors. The profile feature is minimal but effective. I wish linking an account with other devices communicated chat settings, and that the Windows desktop app had a GIF keyboard. Mostly, though, if read receipts are going to exist anyway, it would be nice if they were plainly displayed, rather than hidden behind the message info.

The app itself is fine and works the way it should. However, it has severe limitations with data backup and image handling - if you enable data backups to Google drive for example, it backs up the entire history as one huge file, and fills up all your storage space by moving each previous backup to the trash. Instead, it should perform incremental backups. Also, sent and received images do not have the option of being saved to the phone gallery automatically. At least give us the option!

What's new
ā The new and slightly refreshed Signal logo can help you digitally experience the feeling of seeing a good friend right after they get a haircut (but it's not a completely new hairstyle). ā Chat folders let you organize your organizations, group your groups, and individualize your individuals into unique folders that are easy to customize and rearrange.
